Natural stone supply for global markets
Natural stone supply for global markets
Natural Stone Cart ships Indian natural stone to buyers in North America, the UK and Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Each region has its own tastes, rules and buying habits, and we plan product mix, packing and paperwork to suit. This page gives a short overview of what buyers in each region often look for, and links to our country pages written in local languages.
If you are searching for Indian stone exporter global, natural stone supplier USA from India, Indian stone supplier Europe or stone exporter Middle East, you will find a page for your country below.
Industry insights: the global stone market
Industry estimates for 2025 put the global natural stone market at about 37.89 billion US dollars, projected to reach about 47.63 billion dollars by 2030. The Asia-Pacific region holds around 57 percent of the market, and India’s granite export volume was reported to rise about 16 percent in 2024. India’s granite industry is valued at roughly 25,000 crore rupees, about 3 billion US dollars. These figures come from industry reports and should be treated as estimates.
Top export markets for Indian natural stone include China (the largest importer), the United States (over 20 percent of granite exports), the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, France, the UAE with its luxury construction projects, and Saudi Arabia. We have country pages for all of these, and for Belgium, where our associate office is based.
North America
Buyers in the USA and Canada often look for granite and quartzite slabs for kitchen countertops, marble and limestone tiles for interiors, and sandstone and granite paving for landscaping. Stone yards and fabricators value consistent slabs, accurate thickness and strong bundle packing. Importers frequently order mixed containers to test several colours.
United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe
Indian sandstone paving is very popular in the UK and Ireland for patios and gardens. Calibrated slabs, mixed-size packs and CE-marked documentation are common requests. Across Europe, buyers also look for granite setts, cobbles, kerbs, slate cladding and natural stone tiles. Language pages for Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden explain our offer in local languages.
Middle East
Marble, granite and cladding for villas, hotels and towers are in demand in the Gulf. Projects often need cut-to-size pieces, large-format panels and labelled packing in batches. Pages in Arabic cover Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, and the UAE page is in English.
Africa, Asia and Oceania
Growing cities in Africa and Asia need floor tiles, stairs, countertops and facade stone. Australia and New Zealand buy sandstone, granite and basalt for outdoor paving and pool areas. Our country pages cover Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Israel, Australia and New Zealand.
How shipping works
We pack stone for sea freight and ship from Mundra and Kandla ports in Gujarat. We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin where needed. We can quote FOB or CIF. Sea freight time depends on the route and shipping line, and we give an expected time with each quote.

What affects the price of natural stone
Buyers often ask for one simple price, but the price of natural stone depends on several things. The stone variety and its rarity matter most, because some colours come from small quarries and cost more. Thickness, size and surface finish change the cost, since thicker and larger pieces need more material and more careful handling. Calibration, meaning how exact the thickness and size are, also adds work. Selection grade matters too: a premium selection with very even colour costs more than a mixed commercial selection. Quantity helps, because bigger orders spread packing and loading costs. Finally freight terms (FOB or CIF), the destination port and the exchange rate affect the final number.
Natural stone is heavy, so weight, not space, usually decides how much fits in a container. To get a fair comparison between suppliers, always ask for quotes on the same stone, size, thickness, finish and terms. We write all of these clearly in our quotation, so you can compare line by line.
Samples, photos and approval before you order
Natural stone changes from one lot to another, so we never ask you to buy without seeing it. For natural stone, we send real photos and short videos of the stone you will receive, and we can courier a small sample so you can check colour, pattern and finish in your own light. Samples work best when they come from the same lot as your order, so please tell us if you want the sample and the container to match closely.
When you approve a sample, we keep a reference piece. If your order is large, we can send bundle photos before loading, or arrange third-party inspection. This simple process protects you from surprises and protects our relationship with you. Ask us for samples on our request samples page.
Planning your container and shipment
A good load plan saves money. A standard 20ft container can usually carry roughly 25 to 28 tonnes, but the exact limit depends on the shipping line and on road and port rules in your country. Natural stone is heavy, so weight, not space, usually decides how much fits in a container. We calculate the load by weight and by size, so you do not pay for space you cannot use. Mixed containers are possible: you can combine different stones, sizes or products, which helps wholesale buyers keep stock varied.
We ship from the ports of Mundra and Kandla in Gujarat to ports around the world, and we share photos of the loading so you can see how your stone is secured. Sea freight time depends on the route and the shipping line, and we give you an expected time with each quote.
